The death penalty should be abolished because it has never been shown to deject crime rates or stop serial killers from killing. It costs removed more to execute a person than to keep him or her in prison for life. Capital punishment is against the humanity, we can find other alternatives to it. As Voltaire once said, It is better to risk saving a guilty man than to condemn an innocent one.
